Message from President Yasushi Kawakami

Azabu University is one of the very few science universities that provide education and conduct research under the theme of "Mankind, Animals, and the Environment". Utilizing acquired knowledge in order to contribute to our society has always been our core value and a value based on the university founding spirit reflecting the educational philosophy of Professor Harutaka Yokura: "Explore academically and practice conscientiously".

The School of Veterinary Medicine and the School of Life and Environmental Science are providing education and training to our students with the aim of finding the best way to allow mankind, animals and the natural environment to coexist harmoniously.

Furthermore, building on Azabu University’s long tradition, many of our graduates are now embarked on thriving careers in places all over Japan. We take a great deal of pride in their success.

We sincerely hope that all our students can spend a part of their prime years on our campus, learning deeply and widely about "Mankind, Animals, and the Environment", with the aim of becoming highly skilled specialists in the fields which meet their goals and interests before they step into society. Above all, Azabu University will always strive to provide the education that is required to foster capable persons who can thrive in various fields.
