School of Veterinary Medicine
The School of Veterinary Medicine provides a wide range of education in the fileds of veterinary science, veterinary nursing and health science, and animal science and biotechnology. Our goal is to train talented people who have an international perspective, and who can meet the responsibilities given to them by societies as well. Our philosophy on education is based on a sense of responsibility as scientists involved in life and welfare, and is based on the philosophical ideas of nurturing veterinarians, companion animal nurses, and experts in animal science and biotechnology who are able to properly fulfill their social mission.

Modern-day society has diversified relationships between humans and animals. In order to respond to the needs of this society, our goal is to foster veterinarians well-versed in the fields of Animal Husbandry and Public Health, with advanced knowledge and technical expertise related to the farm animals and companion animals we come into close contact with during our daily lives.
5 Areas of Specialist Training (Integrated Education)
In order to efficiently study the wide range of specialized disciplines within the Department of Veterinary Medicine, specialized subjects are categorized into 5 areas: Basic Veterinary Medicine, Pathological Veterinary Medicine, Environmental Veterinary Medicine, Livestock Veterinary Medicine and Clinical Veterinary Medicine. In a process of integrated education, students systematically acquire multi-faceted knowledge from the point of view of each area.

Department of veterinary nursing and health science
The Department of Veterinary Health and Nursing aims to train personnel who can make evidence-based contributions to fields such as veterinary medicine, animal welfare, and proper raising of animals which are related to improvement in health, welfare, and quality of life (QOL) of humans and animals, and who are also competent to fulfill a social mission which is closely associated with life and welfare of humans and animals, and with the future society in which we all coexist.

Department of animal science and biotechnology
Course of Animal Life Science
This course is concerned with the various levels of the phenomenon of life, from genes and cells, tissues and organs, all the way to the whole organism. Together with analyzing the functions of these components and acquiring specialist knowledge and skills in the area of animal life science, students also gain wide knowledge and skills required for practical applications in fields such as biotechnology and animal foodstuff processing.
Course of Animal and Human Interaction
Through studying all types of animals, from companion animals to wild animals, the objective of this course is the acquisition of both wide knowledge and comprehensive skills in the betterment of the relationship between humans and animals, in the contribution of animals to human health, welfare and education, in the establishment of a new coexistence for humans and wild animals, as well as conservation management for habitats of living things.
