プロフィール

2002年東京工業大学・生命理工学部卒業、2004年東京工業大学大学院・生命理工学研究科修士課程修了、2007年同大学院博士課程修了。学位(理学博士)取得後、東京工業大学大学院および国立の衛生研究所で博士研究員として勤務。2015年4月に麻布大学に講師として着任。2021年4月より現職。

生物の形質(姿かたち、行動、性格、毒性など)はそれぞれの生物の遺伝子もしくは遺伝子の使われ方によって決まります。食品を汚染する危害性微生物についても、その危害性(形質)を生み出す遺伝的要因があります。危害性に関わる遺伝子レベルのメカニズムを詳細に調べることで、食品を汚染する微生物の制御に、そして食の安全に貢献する研究を進めます。

近年、食品等の微生物検査においても迅速で簡便な遺伝子レベルでの検査が主流になりつつあります。遺伝子に関わる技術を身に着けたいという人は、食品安全科学研究室を一度のぞいてみてください。
